Certainty in delivery
Our piling rigs are some of the youngest in the UK and utilise minimum tier four engines to ensure low emissions. Our unfettered access to rigs and key specialist plant through our in-house provider, Select, ensures continuous availability throughout delivery – with no service interruptions due to vested interests in other projects.
In house design
Our close-knit in-house temporary and permanent works design departments provide innovative and rationalised design solutions, including propping, piling mats and guide walls. Our Materials Technology Centre also enables us to trial pile mix designs before employing them on site.
Skilled Rig Operators
One of our assets is the skill of our Rig Operators. All of our Rig Operators have several years’ experience constructing piles across the whole of UK in various ground conditions.
Safety assurance
Safety is our priority. Cultural alignment with the Laing O'Rourke group of businesses ensures we are continually looking to find better and safer ways of doing things. We have recently revolutionised the way in which we clean concrete from rig lines, we also operate dynamic risk assessments, employ a robust inspection regime for our rigs, we problem solve as a team, we share lessons learnt and were the first to develop visual task sheets.
Responsible and sustainable plant
As well as utilising electric plant wherever possible, we have live noise displays to communicate the noise emitted from our activities and the LAq produced over a shift. We also operate an ‘idling’ dashboard to show our team which machines are in an idle state to see if they can be switched off to reduce emissions.
